Welcome to my channel which is mainly focused on older BMWs. The place where we do repairs, revivals, restorations and go on car buying road trips across Europe.
My name is Sreten. I am not a professional mechanic, just a normal IT guy whose hobby and passion for cars have gotten out of hand.

My current fleet consists of:

2001 BMW E39 M5
2000 BMW E38 750iL - project Dubai
2007 BMW E60 M5 6-speed - project Raleigh
2002 BMW E46 325i Touring - project Cologne
1989 BMW E32 750iL - project Karlsruhe
1991 BMW E31 850i 6-speed - project Marseille

I've owned 25+ BMWs over the years and hopefully that number will continue to go up.

    19:00 the MAF/ECU has a procedure to burn off debris on the platinum wire that happens on shutdown or some part of the cycle, maybe that plus starter fluid was the cause of the fire...

    Hi Sir , could you tell me during this video were you using a Hazet 1/4 inch drive Hazet torque wrench for lower torque settings ? I'm looking for a good quality say 2.5nm to say 25nm torque wrench which is small to get in difficult places but good quality and most importantly accurate ? would you recommend if so . Awesome quality work and would only buy a BMW worked on by you . Stay safe comrade

    Man i watch you from 3 months and i love what u do! I was never great fan of BMWs because 2/3 of them in my contry are shit because they arent maintain properly and sound and look like shit. That maybe bacause the parts are really expensive and in my contry(Bulgaria) we love to do the things in our own way. We dont buy new parts we just rebuild old ones even if they are tottaly crap. By the way the math for BMW E31 850i is costing like two my cars (Peagout 206) wtf?

    Glad to hear .. "If you're a mechanic and you do that .. firing immediately". I Will add (and if you're a mechanic and you strips three BMW spark plugs thread you should quit your job immediately). you shouldn't work any more.

    Sreten, what's your take on when a car manufacturer states an OEM service part. I've often been sceptical that the car manufacturer has done a deal with a supplier, and hence say "we only recommend Bosch" etc... where other supplier parts are just as good...

    Sreten, I must say that I love how you film and edit your videos. I hate when youtubers move the camera like if it was a drone, going everywhere. It pleases my eyes and brain when you skip the parts where you have to put or remove numerous bolts like the min 2:07 . It pleases my body when you skip the part where you move and change the camera angle so we can see what are you doing. You are the only channel where I don't skip parts while watching. I watch bedazzled from start to end. I can recognized the effort you put into the filming and editing in every step. I'm subscribed to 250+ channels, and you my friend, you are my #1. Thank you for pleasing my intestines and eyeballs with every video you upload

    Mate.. I just bumped into your channel.. I am glad I did.. Your videos really are "right on the money".... informative, to the point, clearly presented, with a sense of humour, and not taking yourself too seriously, even though you obviously do know what you are doing/saying... your editing style is just right, short cuts of the action/processes (with the audio) and the timing is perfect.. these all go together to make your video(s) memorable and the duration flies past.. Well Done.. many other youtuber's can learn from these. Did I say I love BM's too?... Prost to Sabine, not forgotten. And cheers to you from NZ.

    Awesome, saving another classic beauty! I have never heard of anyone stripping spark plug threads, I didnt even know it was possible, what brainless steroid induce mad gorilla tightened those to a point of damaging the threads?

    Sreten that's a V8 bumper, probably from an early 740. Only M60 powered cars had those brake vents at the very bottom.

    I have an E39 330i and will only change if I could drive the E31 850i. These are both timeless and beautiful cars. E31 is already a collector's item and so will E39.

    i have theory on the spark plug threads, im not sure. but i think if you dont tighten the spark plug to tight enough but keep it loose, when u start the engine. compression is high that it will start to put pressure on the spark plug and they move a little eating away the thread, and eventually the spark will be shot and thrown from its place by the engine pressure in the hole, and the thread that cannot hold the plug anymore.

    Just a fyi. Although those repairs are improper. A fuel tank unless having a leak allowing air in will never have enough air to cause ignition if spark is provided from the fuel pump. As a matter of fact all fuel pumps actually use the fuel as a form of cooling! I didn't know it either until a really old mechanic with 50 years of experience explained that to me after i questioned why the leads on the pumps dont have shielding where they connect.

    e31 is a dream car for me. would love to put an lsx in one and get most of the other moving parts and electronics replaced with new ones. would definitely be expensive but definitely something to look forwards to later in life

    why did you not bore scope the engine.? I strongly urge you to check the cylinder bores. Never take chances and throw money at it if you have Score damage on the cylinder walls.
