in the movie's defense, as a high school senior right now even though i know showing college decisions is boring but i feel like they represented it quite decently. there were definitely flaws and cliches that were cringey but even the part where LJ snapped at her sister for leaving the family after high school i felt was appropriate because right after you get rejected from your dream school no advice really goes to heart.
